My Crypto Universe - Ping-Pong Turbo

BIG UPDATE!

Now, our bots can trade using both Long and Short strategies. Additionally, we have added extra filters to our signals. The Long bot will now automatically make trades if there is an uptrend in the market, and the Short bot will do the same if there is a downtrend. This reduces risk and increases profitability. You no longer need to manually manipulate your bots; they will start and stop automatically based on market trends.

Please note: "Beast Mode" and "Hedge Mode" must be enabled to trade with both Long and Short strategies simultaneously.

Simple Explanation of How Our Trading Bots with the Turbo mode Work:

The bots utilize specific filters to determine market trends, identifying whether the market is rising or falling.

Uptrend: When the market is growing, the filters activate Long bots, which aim to profit from the market’s upward movement. These bots strive to buy at lower prices and sell at higher prices for the selected trading pairs. The bots are designed to avoid clustering orders in one place by implementing deviations in the order placement. Additionally, a Turbo mode exists, which triggers the bots to immediately open new positions at the point where the last sell order was closed, allowing them to capitalize further if the market continues to grow.

Downtrend: When the market trend reverses and begins to fall, the filters deactivate Long bots and activate Short bots. These bots work in the opposite direction, aiming to profit from the market’s decline by selling at higher prices and buying back at lower prices. Similar to the Long bots, the Short bots also employ deviations in order placement and have a Turbo mode to optimize trading during continuous market declines.

Operational Nuances

- Order Execution: The bot opens new orders in small increments, ensuring that a portion of the balance is always engaged in open orders, awaiting favorable conditions for profitable closure. Patience is crucial when working with bots due to this staged approach.

- Position Management: The bots operate on the principle of opening Long or Short positions, which consist of multiple small orders. Positions are either augmented with new orders or reduced by closing parts that have become profitable based on the filters and signals. 

 - Loss Management: We don’t use Stop Loss, but occasionally, bots will close some deals below the average price, resulting in minor losses. This is a normal aspect of the strategy, and the bots generally perform well over the long term. This is like a Stop Loss )

This trading method is less risky, as the bot will work with mini deals and will release free balance again for new deals.

WHAT SIGNALS DO WE SEND:

We send Buy and Sell signals for the Long strategy. So we send both signals, for opening mini-deal and for closing as well.

HOW IT WORKS:

A new deal begins when the first Buy signal is received, and a Buy order is created using the amount of funds you initially configured.

If the price falls after a new deal is started, then additional Buy orders will be created when a new Buy signal is received. We use super filter on signals - minimum deviation 0.7-1.2% (depends on pair and backtest better results) + signal, so the deviation could be about 1% or 5%, or more, depending on coin price move on the market. The bot will use the same amount of funds for each additional mini-deal it creates.

As the price rises, the bot will receive Sell signals, and will calculate and create a Sell order for the quantity of assets that are in profit, this then releases funds back to your balance to allow for new Buy orders to be created without adding more funds to the bot’s configuration.

NB! To use this bot on your Binance Futures account, it is mandatory to enable the "Beast Mode" on your Profile page: https://app.3commas.io/users/profile.

This feature is needed for creating more than one deal for the same pair on futures accounts in the same direction. But before enabling "Beast Mode", make sure that you do not have an open Short position in the pairs you want to trade with the Ping-Pong bot, because if the original position for the Ping-Pong method is Long and "Beast Mode" is ON, then opening a Short deal would sell some of it and opening another Long deal would buy more and you will have a wrong statistic of bots.

If you trade Short positions as well, then we recommend enabling "Hedge Mode" as well before launching Ping-Pong bots, which will allow you to trade your bots both ways without any problems.

"Beast Mode" allow you to create deals in the same direction.

"Hedge Mode" allow you to create deals in the opposite direction.

If you want to use Long and Short positions as separate positions on the exchange, then "Beast Mode" and "Hedge Mode" should be enabled.

FAQ (frequently asked question):

1. How much do I need to invest in the bot?

To catch new market waves, the number of additional orders you add will depend on your preference. However, as a rule of thumb, you may consider adding orders about five times, starting with two and ending with around ten orders for each pair. Ideally, this would require an investment of 50-100 USDT, taking into account that the size of the base order is 10 USDT. We recommend starting with a minimum investment to better understand how the bot works and how much money it might require.

But, the larger your balance, the safer the operation of your bots.

NB! To diversify risk, it's better to spread your investment balance over multiple pairs instead of investing a lot of money in a single pair. This way, if some pairs perform poorly, others may perform very well.

2. Is a 3Commas subscription necessary for using the Ping-Pong trading strategy effectively?

Yes, we recommend purchasing an "Expert" subscription for this strategy, as you will require many mini-deals. With an Expert subscription, you can have up to 2500 active mini-deals. In order not to fall into subscription limits, we recommend creating no more than 70 bots on 70 different pairs. 👌

3. On the deals page https://app.3commas.io/deals I see deals that are stuck in minus and have not closed. What should I do with them?

First of all, don't panic and be patient. Imagine it is like using a Grid-bot that is working. When the price falls below a certain level, there may be orders that are stuck at higher levels and are waiting for the price to rise again so they can be closed. However, the bot will continue to open new orders and work below that level, opening and closing new mini-deals at a profit, thus increasing your account balance. We do not recommend averaging deals. It’s better to let new mini-deals open below, they will play a role as averaging and will quickly pull your negative balance into a positive one in case of a strong drop.

uPnL (Unrealized Profit and Loss): This is the unrealized profit or loss you have at the moment on open positions. It is an estimate of the profit or loss based on the current market price of the asset.

PnL (Profit and Loss): This is the realized profit or loss you make when you close all or part of your position (as in our case).

If you have open mini-deals and uPnL is in the negative zone, it means that your current position is losing money relative to the buy price. But when the bot starts trading lower and earning PnL, those profits start to cover the losses associated with open mini-deals that are stuck at the top.

If your new mini-deals are profitable (and they will be), your PnL will increase, and this will gradually reduce the negative uPnL.

To improve overall profitability, we need to earn enough PnL on new mini-deals to cover losses on old trades.

Therefore, always pay attention to:

• Maximum number of simultaneous trades
• There is enough balance for the bots to withstand a long fall (read the recommendations on Risk Management)

4. Why do I need to create multiple bots for each pair?

It is better to create separate bots for each trading pair, as this will help you comply with Risk Management and increase the "Max active deals" for each pair separately.

5. What is the recommended "Base order size" for such a strategy?

To minimize risks, we suggest using "Base order size" - 10 USDT (but you can start with 5.25 USDT) and dividing your balance to create multiple bots for different pairs. We currently offer signals for almost all pairs that are traded on Binance Futures, and there are more than 200 pairs there6. There are some deals that are currently in loss, but the signals history page indicates that there was a close signal on that currency pair, resulting in a profit.

It's important to note that the history of closed deals shown on this page only includes the signals for mini-deals that were already profitable, as determined by the profit percentage filter and signal. If your mini-deal on this pair was not closed by this signal, it means that it was not profitable at that time.

7. What Stop Loss would you recommend based on your strategy? I see it's blank.

Our Ping-Pong strategy does not provide the use of a Stop Loss.

Our strategy works with each mini-deal as a separate deal on 3Commas, but on Binance Futures, you will only see one Long position. This is normal and expected behaviour. Our trading strategy emphasizes the mini-deals within a single position, which results in a less risky approach.

An important setting in the bot is “Max active deals”. If the initial value of 2 is not enough, then edit the bot and increase this number. This will allow you to earn money even when the market is falling and work from below and increase your balance in plus. But the most important thing is that you always save extra funds for this need, if it arises. Therefore, compliance with Risk Management is very important!

The bot will execute small trades using mini-deals at lower prices to turn losses into profits.

8. What to do if Binance informs you that it is going to delist some coin.

If you are trading a particular coin and Binance notifies you through its Telegram channel that it is going to delist that coin, we advise you to stop the bot on this pair, cancel deals and close the position. For this:

1. Open Control Panel, DCA Deals, select a pair in the filter, mark all deals and Cancel deals (or use BotManager actions for this).

2. After completing the previous step, visit the terminal https://app.3commas.io/trades_terminal, select your Binance Futures account and manually close the position on this pair.

9. What should I do if I want to stop all my trades?

• Open Control Panel, DCA Deals, select a pair in the filter, mark all deals and Cancel deals (or use BotManager actions for this).
• Go to the SmartTrade page and open the "Open Positions" tab.
• Find an open position on this pair and convert it to SmartTrade.
• Set a Take Profit target in SmartTrade or if the position is already in plus/profit, you can simply close it.

10. On 3Commas, the mini-deal's closing PnL is in profit. However, on the exchange, the position is closed partially with a loss. Why?

On the exchange, we may see only one position, but when using 3Commas, we have the ability to work within that position by performing mini-deals where we add and reduce funds. However, the exchange is not aware of these actions. This same process occurs when using 3Commas Grid bot.

Allow us to explain with the use of Grid bot.

Example

For example, each Grid bot step = 1%

Each order Volume: $10

Open price: $1000 per contract

1. Opened position for $100

2. The price dropped to -1%, and we increased the position to $110.

3. The price dropped to -2%, and we increased the position to $120.

4. The price dropped to -3%, and we increased the position to $130.

5. The price increased to -2%, and we reduced the position to $120.

On the exchange, it still appeared as a loss. However, in reality, at this point, the bot has enhanced its PnL by 1% of $10, resulting in a $1 improvement. This is because we decreased the position only in step 5, not earlier. With continued fluctuations in the market, the bot will progressively improve its PnL from negative to positive. This underscores the significance of patience when dealing with GRID bots and Ping-Pong strategy.

In other words:

The reason for the sync issue between Binance and 3Commas is that Binance calculates profit and loss (PnL) based on the entire position, whereas 3Commas calculates it based on small periods of time, known as mini-deals. At every mini-deal, 3Commas takes a profit. However, if the mini-deals are closed below the average price, Binance will show it as a loss. In the long term, with further market fluctuations and growth of Binance, this desynchronization may become more or less synchronized. The synchronization will be 100% only when the price for all mini-deals goes so high that they all get closed and there is no open position left. Currently, there is an increase and decrease in the position due to mini-deals, and this desynchronization will always exist.

NB! It is advisable to initiate the Ping-Pong strategy bot on a pair that does not have an open position on the exchange. This ensures that everything works as expected. However, if there is already an existing working position that is already in loss and you start Ping-Pong on it, the behaviour of the bot cannot be predicted at the moment and may bring some losses.
