The AI Assistant is available on paid plans — Starter, Pro, and Expert. The Free plan has limited access to AI Assistant automated bots. Pricing depends on the plan you choose; yearly billing gives a significant discount vs monthly.
Which exchanges are supported, and is it safe to connect my account?
3Commas supports major exchanges including Binance, Bybit, OKX, and others. You connect via API keys — 3Commas never has access to your funds directly, only to trading permissions you grant. It's recommended to enable API keys with trade-only permissions and disable withdrawals entirely for maximum safety.
Is backtesting important before running a bot?
Yes. Backtesting lets you see how a strategy would have performed on historical data before risking real funds. It won't guarantee future results, but it helps you spot obviously bad settings before going live. Always backtest on the specific pair and timeframe you plan to trade.
Can I customize or edit the bot after the AI creates it?
Yes. After the AI Assistant generates a bot configuration, you can review and adjust all parameters — entry/exit conditions, safety orders, take profit targets, and more — before launching.
Does the bot trade 24/7, and what happens in volatile markets?
Yes, bots run continuously as long as they're active and your exchange connection is live. In highly volatile markets, bots follow their preset logic — they don't pause automatically unless you've set specific stop conditions. During extreme moves, DCA bots may open additional safety orders to average down; Grid bots continue placing orders within their set range. It's worth reviewing your risk settings (max active deals, stop loss) before leaving a bot unattended.
How many strategies or bots can I create with the AI Assistant?
The number of active bots depends on your plan. Higher-tier plans (Pro, Expert) allow significantly more simultaneous active bots and deals. The Starter plan have lower limits. Check your current plan details in the dashboard under Account → Subscription.
