Key updates for 3Commas traders: May & June 2023 

Welcome to the 3Commas monthly review. 

Each month, we bring you a video detailing what’s changed on the platform — and more importantly, how each upgrade benefits our community of crypto traders. 

May and June were big months for trading bot updates, competitions, and more on 3Commas.

Here are the key changes you need to know about on 3Commas this month:

DCA Bot indicator improvements

We just added four powerful top-tier technical indicators you can use when trading with DCA bots:

• 📈MACD: The Moving Average Convergence/Divergence is now fully customizable and ready to adapt to any trends, big or small. 
• 📈MA: Use the popular Moving Average indicator in both simple and exponential form.
• 📈ADX: The Average Directional Index is one of the top tier indicators for trend strategies, and can be used for entry and exit signals. 
• 📈Stochastic: Use this popular oscillator to filter MACD and other signal sources — or as a standalone signal source for your DCA strategy.

Additionally, the following indicators are now fully configurable: Money Flow Index (MFI), Commodity Channel Index (CCI), Parabolic SAR, and Ultimate Oscillator.

GRID Bot chart and data upgrades

We just released four updates for our GRID bot to make GRID trading with 3Commas more powerful than ever. 

• 📊Real-time data: Active bot profits, current funds and totals now auto-update. 
• 📈Faster charts: Charts calculate & load more efficiently. 
• 🚦New filters: Better market screening options — like filtering by market cap.
• ⚙️More table settings: You can now add Average Daily Profit & Investment columns to your bot table.

3Commas referral program

You can profit when you introduce someone to crypto trading with 3Commas.

Here’s how the 3Commas referral program works: You give people your referral link, and if they sign up for a paid subscription, you’ll earn 25% of their subscription fee. 

The Trading Parrot’s GRID bot masterclass

You won’t find many YouTubers more knowledgeable about crypto trading and bots than The Trading Parrot. In his recent video, The Trading Parrot gives his honest opinion on our latest batch of GRID bot upgrades. 

The upgrades include: New trading strategies, pair selection, backtesting, optimization and futures GRID bots.

3Commas email security update

3Commas has taken the next step in protecting our community from email phishing attacks. In addition to our investment in DMARC email authentication protocol, we’re now using BIMI*.

*BIMI = Brand Indicators for Message Identification.

This ensures you can easily tell the difference between genuine emails from 3Commas — and those from hackers pretending to be us. Genuine emails from us will show both the 3Commas logo and the blue ‘verified’ tick next to the sender’s name. Be sure to check for both of these indicators. And if you’re in any doubt — never share personal details or click links if you think the email might not be genuine. 

Five more exchanges with IP whitelisting

Several of our partner exchanges have introduced an easier and more secure method for API key creation that enhances account security by whitelisting IP addresses. This means that your exchange will only recognize trade requests or other commands if they come from an approved 3Commas IP address. 

The exchanges that have added IP whitelisting are KuCoin, Binance US, Binance TR, Bitfinex, Bittrex.

The process is simple and straightforward. Just find your exchange and follow the step-by-step guides. 

ByBit unified accounts and API v5

Bybit has released version 5 of their API, which includes the long-anticipated rollout of their Unified Trading Account (UTA). The UTA combines Spot, Futures, and Options accounts into one joint account. 

When they first rolled out the UTA, it caused issues for some of our users, but now our tech stack is fully synced up and you should have no issue connecting your UTA to 3Commas.
